The redesign of Bjork Library will incorporate modern amenities to better support the
student experience.
As part of the NJ State Bond Solicitation 2022, Stockton University received $19.5 million in funds to renovate the E-Wing Library into a state-of-the-art Library Learning Commons. This interior alteration project includes the reprogramming of all three levels of the library, with a new organizational structure based on activity and desired study environment, as well as a new circulation core. Updated spaces include:
*Student Services – Tutoring, Advising, Learning Development, Innovation and Broadcast
*Learning Commons – activated meeting space for private and group study with connection to café
*Quiet Commons – quiet study rooms, tutoring spaces, stacks – this level also offers access to Specialty Collections and Archives
Since Bjork Library is a regional hub for historic documents and special collections, the renovations also include a new community entry at the exterior of the building.
